Identification:
Perennial or biennial; flowers May to June. Grows to 3 ft tall. Stems simple below and multi-branched above. Small yellow flowers with 4 petals. Bears flattened, winged seed pods.
Impacts:
Dyer's woad forms dense stands in rangelands which crowds out native vegetation. Flowering and the most vigorous growth will occur mainly in sandy and gravelly soils, and in marginal farm lands.
