Identification: Perennial; flowers June-July at lower elevations. Grows 4 to 10 inches tall. Similar to the yellow hawkweeds except that it has one flower per stalk. This species is not yet known to occur in Oregon.

Impacts: This plant produces mats of rosettes that prevent other plants from establishing. It grows in grassy areas and does not tolerate shade. It is becoming a troublesome weed in native meadows, prairies, pastures and lawns.

Biological Controls: Biological control agents are not used on "A" listed weeds in Oregon. If this weed is found in the state it will be managed for eradication or containment.
